How to Make Matcha

How to Make:

  • For Hot & Frothy Matcha: sift 1/4 teaspoon of Matcha into a cup. Add 2 ounces of hot water.  Whisk side to side or zig-zag to get frothy.  Add an additional 6 ounces of hot water.
  • For a Matcha Latte: sift 1/4 teaspoon of Matcha into a cup.  Add 2 ounces of hot water.  Whisk side to side or zig-zag to get frothy.  Add an additional 6 ounces of your favorite milk and touch of your favorite sweetener.
    • If you have a milk frother, sift 1/4 teaspoon of Matcha along with your favorite milk and a touch of sweetener into the frother.  Set the frother on the heat/foam setting.
  • Sarah's Favorite Matcha Breakfast Smoothie: Into a blender add 1 cup mixed frozen berries, a handful of spinach leaves, 1 banana, 1 Tablespoon of Matcha, 2 scoops of your favorite protein powder, and top off with water or iced brewed green tea.  Blend until smooth.
